unplug/eject hardware - accidental removal of DVD drive

I hope someone can help, I have just inadvertantly 'ejected' my CD/DVD drive
from my laptop (i meant to eject my USB and clicked on wrong one).

How can i restore this? it is an internal drive, and there is still a disc
inside it. The drive is now no longer showing in My Computer.

Thanks

If you are uncomfotable with rebooting:

Go to System>>Hardware>>Device Manager.
Right click "My Computer" (or whatever you've named it)
and select "Scan for Hardware Changes"

Drive should be detected and re-installed.
