Nate

I recently bought a used lap top that is a couple of
years old. The hard drive has been partioned into
several different drives, and I would like to unpartion
it. However I tried to do this in Computer Management
and it would not give me the option to remove the
partition. The computer has XP pro installed and there
are 2 unlabeled partitions and a C: and a D:
I would have reformatted the hard drive but I do not have
a copy of Windows to reinstall after I am done.
Could someone please help me?
Thanks.

Nate;
You will eventually need the CD, so if you can not get it from the
seller, you need to buy it.

The following operations are safe, but if something goes wrong, a
reload will be necessary (the need for the CD again)

You can not combine the partition Windows resides with Windows native
tools and preserve data.
To preserve data a 3rd party application is needed:
