Blue screen popped up on my daughters Windows XP, and I
know she didn't add or remove hardware, doesn't know how
to, so what did she do to it?
please Help!!!

William;
Power off
Desktop:...Open the case and reseat the hard drive IDE ribbon cable at
both ends.
Laptop:... simply remove and reinsert the hard drive.
If that fails:

Otherwise go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and
download their hard drive diagnostics.

Do you have a hard drive overlay such as Max Blast?
Windows XP sometimes has issues with overlay software.
You may need to perform a Clean Installation without their overlay
software which is not needed anyway.

You should try checking the inside to make sure that
everything is connected. If you have some
contact/connector cleaner then I'd use a little and see if
that helps your HD. Good luck with everything. BTW, this
forum bites when it comes to people helping each other out.
