Unmountable_boot_volume

when i turn on my computer windows xp starts to load the i
get a blue screen with Unmountable_boot_volume appearing
and a looad of numbers, i searched the microsoft site and
all i found was:

Bug Check 0xED: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

The UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME bug check has a value of
0x000000ED. This indicates that the I/O subsystem
attempted to mount the boot volume and it failed.
Parameters
The following parameters are displayed on the blue screen.
Parameter Description
1 The device object of the boot volume
2 The status code from the file system that
describes why it failed to mount the volume
3 Reserved
4 Reserved

could someone please explain what i can do to solve this
as i havent a clue!

Sounds like a problem with the HD disk controller your PC
is using and XP can not boot from it. Boot from XP CD and do a repair
install to fix problem.
