So basically buy the iPhone from a mobile phone network on a contract/PAYG, wait three months then request an unlock which will cost you £15.30 at time of writing and take about a week to 10 days to happen. No prob.

Well, unless you buy the phone direct from Apple without a contract I suppose but who does that?

Unlocked my iPhone 4 a few months ago, no probs.
