I am a new user of Word 2007. I have many form documents I created in 2003
and when I go to open them in 2007 I am unable to unlock them, modify them,
etc. I was able to locate the Legacy Controls and added the Developer Tab,
but I can't find the lock button on the Legacy Controls to unlock my
document. Thank you!

Did you try clicking the Protect Document button near the right end of
the Developer ribbon? It opens the same Protect Document task pane
that was in Word 2003.

You can add the lock icon to the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) for
yourself. Click the down arrow at the end of the QAT and choose More
Commands. Set the top left dropdown to "Commands Not in the Ribbon".
Select the Protect Document command and click the Add button, then
click OK.
