Hi

I'm looking for a digicam that would record to my hard drive in real time (i.e. capturing video from tape later isn't an option). Don't know if it's more a hardware or software question - anyone tried this

Additionally, it would be nice if the recording software could also transform the recorded real-time signal
into a low-resolution video (webcam quality) for an internet transmission using NetMeeting. Again, did anyone see such an animal

Can MovieMaker do any of this

Thanks
Marek

I use Movie Maker 2 to record directly from my camcorder, so it's possible.

Hi Marek,

I use Webcam32 which you can get from
http://www.surveyor.com/products/webcam32.html. I have not tried it with my
Digital Video camera, but have used it with great success with my Panasonic
M1 (Analog) camera.

Webcam32 is used around the world on some spectacular web cameras. I
actually got to see the camera on the Sheraton Falls Hotel in Niagara they
use the exact same software that I use.....and if its good enough for
them....
