We have several PCs running Win2K with severe problems.
The problem starts with the security policies
disappearing. Logging off will then not allow log on as
any other user than admin then will only load a default
profile.
On restart the systems attempt to load windows then
autocheck fails and then blue screen - fatal system
error. We can't recover the system booting from CD.
Effected hard drives are readable in another PC, however
the PC you read the drive in eventually suffers the same
fate!
Also the security log shows changes to the security where
noone has been using a PC.
Our 98 and NT systems are (apparently) unaffected.
All virus updates are present and no virus is found on
the effected disks.
Any suggestions???? Please help.
