Unknown startup program hogging CPU

Whenever I log on normally, some program or process loading up during logon
totally hogs the CPU (P4 2.8G) - I can barely start task manager to observe
the 100% CPU saturation.
However, when I hold down SHIFT during login, everything is OK.

In all likelyhood it is not one of the programs in the startup folder,
'cause when I then start them one by one, everything is still OK.

So: where do I look in the registry for stuff that gets loaded upon regular
login, but not loaded if the SHIFT key is depressed during login?

Any help is highly appreciated,

Hans ([email protected])

The "Run" keys but the shift key doesn't stop them from starting. You can
use Task Manager|Processes tab to see what process is consuming the mem/
cpu.
