Today I started having a curious problem. When I click on
some (but not all) lnks, IE6 freezes. (For example, trying
to link to the current featured Slate article from the MSN
home page.) When I open the "Close Program" dialog box in
Win98 to confirm it is "not repsonding" and to close it so
I can start over, I discover there is an <unknown> program
running in the background. I ran Spybot and McAfee Virus
Scan to check for problems and found none. The only
strange thing that occurred this morning was the receipt
of a completely blank email. There was no subject, return
address, text or attachment. When it showed up in my
Outlook inbox I deleted it completely without opening it.

Has anyone else had this type of thing occur? Should I
remove IE6 and download it all over again?
