unknown icon on desk top

after installing some automatic windows updates a file
icon appeared on my desktop when trying to open it i get
the message windows cannot open this file on trying the
web service to find the program the page cannot be found.
the problem is whether to delete the file or is it
something to do with the updates? can anyone help

Tony, does it have a ~ under it. If so, delete it. It's some weird
update Outlook Express anomaly

Delete it it's a tmp file one of the patches didn't remove.
