unknown frontpage component

I have been working on a website for several weeks, using FrontPage, and have
not had any problems. I did some simple edits on a few pages last night, and
everything was fine. Tonight I made two more simple edits, one being on the
home page. When I went to check the pages in my web browser, I didn't see
the slight change made on the home page. Checked further and found the
following error message: "Page "index.htm" contains an unknown FrontPage
component: Script". I have tried and tried to fix this problem, searched
online and in these discussion groups for fixes.....for 3 hours now.....and
nothing seems to be working. I'm sure there is probably a simple fix - I
just don't know what it is. I'm not a high-tech web guru, so would
appreciate some help in simple, everyday language. Thanks in advance!

Actually I have figured out what the problem is, just as I saw the
notification of your post. I had a 'free' sitemeter on the site and once I
removed that code, everything was back to normal. Guess I won't be using
that anymore. Apologies for posting so soon, I should have tried a little
while longer before posting. Thanks for your speedy response anyway. These
boards are EXTREMELY helpful!

I did have a second problem as well - I was trying to publish index.htm, when
my server requires it to be index.html. Thanks to postings elsewhere on
these boards, I was able to fix that problem as well. That's why I couldn't
see the changes I had made. The unknown component issue was just something I
happened to notice in the process of figuring out what was going on. Live
and learn.......
