What is going on? Everyone seems to be having this same problem. I called
Dell for help and I was instructed to go through the tools of Windows Mail.
After about an hour I discovered Dell could not help me. The man then said
it was just a glitch in Windows Mail that cannot be fixed at this time.
Meanwhile I have 258 deleted e-mails piling up in my folder. Help!!!!!!

I't a bug, caused by one email that is stuck in your deleted folder. If you
right click on the folder and use "empty..." it will delete 1-5 messages at
a time, but it will work.

After you get all the messages out of there, it should work normally again.

I had this happen once, and it hasn't again since.

It's a bug and it's fixable.

What folder are these in?
What anti-virus do you use? Whatever it is, turn off email scanning.

If the stuck messages are in the Outbox see http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil
Please read ALL of the instructions.

If they are in a different folder and you are not willing to just ignore
them, the only way is to delete both copies of the database (which does not
contain the messages, but only references to them) and let WinMail rebuild
it.
First close WinMail, then use Task Manager to make sure there are no
instances of it under applications or processes.
Then click Start | Search | Advanced Search
Check the box to include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click the Search
button.
It should show you two copies. Delete both of them and re-open WinMail.
