When trying to print ANY e-mail in Outlook 2002 I get the
error message "The messaging interface has returned an
unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook"
I can print attachments to mail and can print from all
other applications, but cannot print any e-mail message
in any folder to any printer, either from the message
window or folder window. PC is running WinXP SP1 with
IE6 SP1. It was preinstalled with Office 2003 which was
removed and replaced with Office 2002. Office 2002 then
had loaded all service packs and updates before problem
was first noticed. I have since tried the following:
-Office 2002 Repair
-Office 2002 Reinstall
-Manually replacing MAPI files in C:\Windows\System32
(From Office 2002 CD)
-Manually removing all remnant Office 2003 files and
registries
-Removing Office 2002 and running clean install without
service pack and updates.
Same problem!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Please note comments such as "Use Linux" do not help
either as it's not my PC and therefore not my choice ;-)
