unknown error message

I get the following error message while trying to add a
machine to the domain. Any help will be greatly
appreciated because I haven't been able to find any
information on this error. Thanks

condition maybe caused by a DNS lookup problem.

Without knowing your configuration, and with the limited info you provided,
I can just stipulate the Rule of thumb with AD:

ONLY use your internal DNS hosting the AD zone. If you have your ISP's in IP
properties of ANY machine, unknown results and problems are guaranteed to
occur and WILL occur.
