Hi,

after changing from an NT-Domain to a AD-Domain there are
a lot of "Unknown Account" local user profiles.

They cannot be copied as other profiles.

Is it possible to edit the registry to make them profiles of
the local machine or the AD-Domain?

Thanks

They likely belong to now orphaned SIDs

You mean via Profile Management ("User Profiles") No, they are
probably orphaned (dead).

Not that I know of.

One can recover the file contents of profiles on disk if they still
exist of course.

Someone else may have a different answer. I only rate my answers at
maybe 60%.
