My printer is jammed, and I cannot reach the paper that is caught. The
printer is unwilling to spit out the paper automatically. Is there a
way to force it to do so? How can I unjam it?

I assume the jam is in the fuser since this is the hardest part of the printer
to unjam, the fuser is at the top rear immediately under the vents.
You will need to remove some covers to get at it, once the covers are off you
may be able to turn the gear at the end of the fuser rollers and ease the paper
out. Do not use any objects to remove the paper, the fuser rollers are very
easy to damage and fuser replacement is not worth the cost for this printer.

and download the service manual, it will help you decide whether you want to do
this yourself or not.
Good luck
