Hello,

i've found out that a lot of problems can be caused by a silly mistake -
forgetfulness. Make sure you DONT FORGET to enable netbios otherwise the
network will not work correctly!

Active directory services in Windows 2000 and XP can replace the browser service used in earlier version, netbios is still being used.
Take a look at the following kb:
