since installing MM, my Cyberlink's Power Director 3 will no longer import mp3's... only wma's. So I do a lot of converting.

I suspect MM may be the cause and I'd like to uninstall MM just check

How do I remove MM

thanks

Hello There,

Movie Maker 1 or 2 are actually part of the XP operating system. There are
a few small files that give you the link to that functionality in the Movie
Maker folder, but removing them will have no effect on your problem.

There are three possible ways of resolving your issue...

1) Use the restore point you hopefully created before installing Movie
Maker 2
2) Re-install Power Director 3
3) Re-install XP along with everything else.....

If memory serves, Power Director was released before the release of XP. I
have it also, but no longer use it because of problems such as yours.

Bil, I use Power Director 3 (3.00.1110 DE) and just checked mine. I have
no problem importing and playing .MP3 files into Power Director or MM 2.

I would try re-installing Power Director if you already haven't done so.

It seems that there is no Microsoft way to uninstall
moviemaker. Mediaplayer has build-in uninstall but MM
don't have it. But, I'll try to make a one.

My DV input is no longer recognized with XP and MM2. I would like to uninstall and believe it to be the problem. If you find/build an unistaller I would be interested.

It's part of xp and shares parts with WMP etc, so many pieces of windows
will not work if you remove it. You can of course re-install XP and you'll
be back where you started in the first instance.
