a desperate plea for help,

I gave my son administrator rights on an XP Pro install a long time
ago and now I want to use his box for something else. Unfortunately,
he hasn't got a clue what the password is.

How the hell do I get around this !

I'd like to be able to install Windows 2000 (cos I've got it), but I
haven't a clue what to do.

Can any assists go to my e-mail address, as I canb handle it from
there, as opposed to accessing news groups via Google.

Kind regards

Kevin

Just boot from the Windows 2000 CD ROM
As part of the setup you can delete partitions and reformat before you
install Windows 2000.

Kevin,

On rereading your post I realized you want to install Windows 2000
If it is due to the problem with the password on XP, I suggest using
the links I gave you on my other post.

However, if you still want to install Windows 2000, then the following
can be useful:

Good luck

Greetings --

Simply boot from the Win2K installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and/or format the system partition as
part of the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the
order of boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
