Ok my problem is I have a very limited hard drive and have
been running into problems because of it. I recently bought
a twenty gigabite one and wish to install XP onto it. I
want to uninstall XP on my old hardrive but I'm afraid that
if I do I will kill any chance that i have of regestering
it onto the new hard drive.

My question is, do I have to do anything special when
unistalling XP? Maybe call up a support line and get my CD
key off thier computers so I can intall it on the new hard
drive? Is thier anything at all that needs to be done or
can I just F Disk my old hard drive and install on the new
one worry free?

Email me if you have any documents that might help. I have
tried to navigate exsisting help docuemtns but am lost and
i don't want to pay money for the support line. Oh by the
way is the support line free?

You don't need to worry, XP can be installed on the same computer as many
times as you want to. You will be prompted to either activate over the
internet, or make a phone call activation. See the link below for more info.
I would like to suggest if your system is working satisfactorily you should
consider cloning the old drive to the new. You can use imaging software to
accomplish this. See links below to imaging software.

Imaging is the best way to go, and check your hard drive manufacturer for
updated software to copy the old drive to the new.
Maxblast Plus versions 1.30 and newer provide an image copy utility that
will allow you to copy all the information from one hard drive to another
drive. The software currently supports FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS partitions.
