uninstalling XP

i need to uninstall XP ans install 2000 pro in my
computer. how do i do this and make sure that all xp
files are removed? what do i need to know about
installing 2000 pro?
 
You don't uninstall the operating system - uninstalling is something you do
to a program to let the operating system know that it's no longer there.
There is nobody to notify that you are uninstalling the operating system.
So, all you need to do is wipe the hard drive and install 2000, which you
can do as a part of the 2000 setup. Just boot to the 2000 CD, and follow the
directions to blow away the existing partition and install 2000.
