We tried to uninstall xp to get back to windows me that was
originally on the computer. Somehow we have lost everthing
and can't get the computer to even boot up. We just moved
and cannot find the hard disk to reboot. Now we are using
the roommate's computer to try and find a startup/reboot
disk to copy and start our computer again. Does anyone
know how to help?

1. Delete the Windows XP partition.
2. Create a new partition.
3. Format the new partition FAT32.
4. Install your desired Operating System.

Thanks for the info, but its not enough.

We did successfully uninstall XP. But now the computer
won't startup in Windows ME that we had previously. We
moved and do not have the reboot disk. Is there a way to
copy a reboot disk from my roommate's computer? Or is
there any other way to get our computer back?
