You cant uninstall yur operating system. you can A;
install an additional operating system(u can have more
than one on yoour pc)or B: you can reformat your hard
drive and reinstall adiffrent operating system. Also if
you are not an administrator you have restricted access.
xp only resticts what is told to restrict

As already mentioned, format and reinstall.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE backup all your documents and files
before hand

Jas

Actually you can uninstall Windows XP if the install was an upgrade overtop
of an existing Windows 98/Me setup.

Do you read? He stated that it was not listed in Add/Remove, you pillocking retard!

This means, that the person upgraded, and chose not to save the previous OS
files, changed the filing system to NTFS, or deleted the previous OS

K-Man, you coward, I was replying to gizelda not the OP. If you hadn't
screwed up your ISP account you wouldn't have to use CDO in which case you
would be able to follow the thread correctly.

you cannot uninstall an os! He is obviosly a newbie and
was looking to uninstall it like a program!in either case
(upgrade-vs full install)he would have to format to
revert back to an older os.

Sorry, but what you say is not so. Harry's reply below is
correct.

I have tried to uninstall Windows XP Pro, as it restricts
the games I can play. But it isn't listed in the
ADD/REMOVE programs list.
Has anyone got any ideas what I can do?
