A computer was given to me with Windows XP already
installed on it. I don't own a copy so I can't activate
it. The days to activate XP counted down and now I can't
use the computer. When I turn it on, I only get an option
to either activate XP or turn the computer off. How can I
uninstall XP from this computer if all I can do is turn it
on and off?

bj,
You will need to format the hard drive and install the OS of your choice. If
you want to keep your current configuration, you can change the CD key
without reinstalling by purchasing the same exact version and entering the
new key from the activation screen.

Click on or copy and paste the link below into your web browser address box.

I think you would just install a different operating
system. Maybe then it would give you the option to remove
the xp, if needed.
