Hi
Can anyone recommend software or a process that allows me to uninstall programs that don't appear on the start menu, but are still in the c:\program files area. A lot of these folders don't have an uninstaller in them. I've been told that because of .dll's and other files being scattered, deleting the folder isn't enough. Any advice appreciated. Thank

Phil

G'Day Phil,
By far the best way to uninstall any program is
through:
Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs

Many Thanks. But, these programs are not listed in the add/remove area. I did a re-install and apparently the new registry doesn't "see" them. I wish I could make the registry scan and acknowlege them. AS it is I have about a hundred programs to reinstall or remove. Thanks for the advic

Well - with a lot of caution.....
If a program has DLL's, these are usually registered
(especially if shared), and the program appears in
the Add or Remove programs area.

If it don't, then the best way to remove it, would be to
manually delete the Folders and shortcuts -----AFTER
creating a System Restore point.
