Microsoft works was already on my new laptop when I got it souninstalled it as I have Office. It's still listed in the registry though and its programmes appear in the sounds menu (found in control panel). Would I be okay to delete the registry entries, and how could I go about cleaning the sounds menu? Its not a big deal, just annoying that something I don't want is still lurking around

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

How did you uninstall it?
You can remove the Registry keys, but be very careful. If you remove the
wrong thing Windows may not start.

Thanks for the reply Frank

I uninstalled it using the option in the control panel first. When I noticed bits of it were still around I reinstalled it and tried using the uninstall option on the Works cd-rom (it wasn't on the start menu) with the same result. As I say, its's no big deal, but I suppose I need a separate uninstall program for the future

Cheers, Joh

On the other hand, the Registry keys probably aren't hurting anything.
