Uninstalling NAV02

NAV 02 came installed on my computer by Dell. Have just purchased NAV05
upgrade to replace it. Instructions say I must uninstall 02 prior to the new
installation. A user in the Dell groups indicated that I will have to run a
removal tool in addition to Uninstall. Something like Rnav03 (supposed to
work for 02) supposedly available from Symentec. If this is true, does
anyone know if I can download the tool, save it and use it off line ? I do
not plan to be online while doing the un/install.
Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, you can download the tool from Symantec's website. It is a
self-contained executable.

Yes, you can download it and use it offline.

Thanks much, Malke and Tom.
Other questions - 02 is listed under All Programs where it has a drop-down
box of options, one being "Uninstall". Of course, it's also in Add/Remove
Programs. Do I run the uninstall from both places ? Is the extra tool
really a requirement ? The User's Guide only mentions a scan once a week -
current one is scheduled every 8 hrs.. Can 05 be set the same way ? (Yes,
I've been to the Symantec links - they've been very helpful, but didn't calm
all my nerves. I so dislike having to replace something that works so well
just because it's outdated.)
Thanks for your help and patience.

Thanks, Carey. The link led me to the KB articles I needed for NAV02 removal
and where to get the Rnav03 tool if regular uninstall won't get it.
Thanks again, to all.
