Uninstalling Media player 9

Hi, I want to uninstall windows media player version 9
because I have divX and winamp which are both better in
my opinion, and my virus scanner detects MP9 as spyware.
How can I do this without messing up other applications?
 
WMP9 is NOT spyware. the only way to remove it is to use System Restore.

Note: Winamp is not meant for playig video, you will run into problems
using it, the DivX Playa will ONLY play DivX and other AVI's. no MPEGs or
WMV files.
 
I still want to uninstall it because I must reinstall it
every time I virus scan. How do I use system restore and
are there any side effects?
