Uninstalling AVG Free

Can anyone help with this problem please?
I cannot uninstall this free programme and don't seem to be able to access
the Virus Control in the Security Centre - it's telling me that
0.-1.2089878893 reports it's turned off.

I'm worried that I no longer have any anti virus cover but until this
problem is resolved, I cannot install anything elese.
 
Hello Buster:
I had the same problem when I tried to remove the free AVG version. I found
that after removing all AVG references in the registry (regedit) AVG went
away.

Hi Ron: If I remember correctly, the free version came bundled with my Dell
laptop and after it had expired it wouldn't update anymore. Also, like Avast
better....

Fwall4, I have them both and i like AVG better and thinking about removing
Avast. Both are excellent and i think AVG is headed towards the better (only
an opinion) Enjoy Ron
