I have Windows ME & XP installed. How do i uninstall the ME addition as its
no longer required, without affecting XP?? Can anyone help please

Ok, did you have ME installed and then you did an upgrade over the top with
XP, if so then there is no way to remove it, upgrading from one OS to another
will overwrite the old one.

I personally do not upgrade from one OS to Another, I format and re-install
the new version, otherwise you can sometimes run into problems.

If you have ME installed on one partition and XP installed on another then
thats another question, let us know ?

"Uninstall" should be available IF you upgraded Windows ME *and* you said
yes to save the old operating system files.

You can choose one of two ways to get rid of ME:
1) Add/Remove Program: Click Windows XP Uninstall, then click
"Change/Remove." Click "remove the backup of my previous operating system"
and then click Continue. Click "yes" to acknowledge the warning that you're
giving up the option to revert to Windows ME. Add/Remove Programs will
finish up the job for you.

2) Start> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Cleanup: Select the saved
operating system files from the list of items available for removal.
