Total uninstall an old friend. Anyone have adverse experience with it?

V-Cool was great in slower CPU's - Athlon - not useable with later ones,
e.g. Sempron, @ 1800 GHz. Any recommendations for a cooler?

If you're referring to the VCool fans that were inserted into extra PCI
slots for added outflow, I used them many years ago. I've shied away from
using them in my recent desktop builds. Reason: today's cases are designed
so much better in regards to intake and outflow.

There's a delicate balance - you can actually have too much air flow or run
into a situation where added airflow is working against the "built in"
airflow design. I was no longer confident that this type of fan was adding
any benefit so abandoned it.

Now I lean towards using fans with larger blades (increased airflow) and
good "quiet" ratings.

Not fans, Sharon, but a "cooler" so called because it issued an HLT command
to CPU to suspend activity of the parts not in use at any given time. But
thanks for your info re possible too much air flow. Will remember.

Well, I googled "V-Cool" before answering. Didn't explore the results past
the PCI slot type of fan. Sorry!

You're most welcome!
