I would like to uninstall XP. What will be the effect if I
use the uninstall in Add/Remove programs as some articles
suggest? Or it'll be better if I decide to reformat the
drive? Then, what is the best way to do it - article#
or...?
Thanks a lot

If the installation of XP was an upgrade overtop of a previous Windows 98/Me
setup and the person has not converted to NTFS or ran a Repair Install since
the upgrade then there is an option to "uninstall XP" found in Add and
Remove Programs.

Your guess is quite right...but can I use this option if
it's available?
Thanks

Yes. You have little to lose by doing so. If it works great and if not you
can do a fresh reinstall of 98
