Hi

Do you intend to reinstall XP? How was XP installed? If as an upgrade and
you opted to keep the uninstall files, then there should be an entry in
Add/Remove Programs. If XP was already installed on a new PC, then you will
have to reformat.

| How can I uninstall XP Pro?

Greetings --

The normal way to "uninstall" _any_ operating system is to format
the hard drive and install a new OS of your choice.

However, if you performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to
backup the old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS,
then all you need do is boot into Safe Mode and Start > Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs. All of these conditions _must_ be met for the
uninstall option to be available.

If it was an upgrade and the user chose, during the upgrade to save the
original setup, then yes, it could be removed through Add/Remove Programs in
Control Panel.

I should add, if NTFS is the file system being used, then there is no means
of return even if the previous setup was saved.

Carey, how in the world did you get MVP status? You definitely *CAN*
uninstall Pro, if it was from an ugrade path under certain conditions!
