Uninstall XP and reinstall window98

Hello everyone,
I have a gateway solo 2500 Laptop and Format the hard
drive and install window XP. But after intalling window XP
profressional I realized that some of my hard ware could
not function with window XP profressional. SO now I want
to reinstall win98 but I can't. Please help me. Can it be
done?

Yes. You'll need to format the hard drive again and install 98 instead of
XP. The basic steps are the same, the difference being the end result
will be a 98 install. One difference during the format and start of setup
is that the 98 CD is not bootable. You'll need to use a recovery CD that
was included with the laptop if that is bootable, or you'll need to boot
with a 98 startup floppy and begin the format and setup process from
there.

Note that if during or after the XP install you converted your partition
from FAT32 to NTFS you will need to use fdisk to delete the partition and
create a new FAT32 partition in its place. If you have specific questions
