Hello
What you should have done is deleted the partition where the first
installation was done on.
Anyway..
Put the install cd into the cd drive
start the system again but start up from cd when asked for klik on one of
the buttons on your keyboard.
Follow the instructions untill you get the message on what partition you
whant that windows should be installed.
firts go with the cursor to the c: partiton and push the D button, then the
enter button and last the L button to confirm the deletion of the partition.
Then do the same with the other partition.
After you did so, there will probebly (?) be only one free harddisk without
partitions on it.
Otherwise repeat as much as needed to.
Now push the C button to create an new partition, do not free al of the
space to one partition but give 15 gig to system partition and the rest you
can also break up in more partitions, just much as you believe is needed for
you to work well.
After you are ready go further with the installation of your Windows XP.
At the question how the system should format the harddisk or partitions, you
should use the NTFS system to be formatted instead of the FAT32 since that is
saver.
After installation you shuld use an installation cd for the SP2, but if you
have to download SP2 please install first an good viruschecker and firewall.
Greetings and frienly regards from the Netherlands
