During the past several weeks, I have been bombarded by the blaster virus. During the process of
cleaning my system and restoring everything to "normal", I have ended up with three copies of win2000
on my computer. Anyone know how to unload one or two of these w/o messing the remaing one(s) up?

- Boot your machine into the version of Win2000 that you
wish to keep.
- Start a Command Prompt
- Run this command:
echo %SystemRoot%
- Make a note of the screen output. This is your current
Win2000 folder. You must keep it.
- Using "My Computer", identify the other folders where
Win2000 is installed.
- Rename each of them, e.g. "Windows" to "Windows.old"
- If all is well, delete them after a week.
- Unhide & edit the file c:\boot.ini
- Delete the lines that refer to the extra Windows folders.
