I have Win XP on one drive and Vista 64 (5600) on another. I want to remove
Vista 64 without messing up Win XP but am wooried about simply deleting and
formating the Vista drive.

How?

Thanks
M

In my case Vista 64 never completed the install but copied all the files to
my PC. I had to manually remove the files. Here is how I did it.

First, boot from the Install DVD and do a Repair Installation. Choose the
Command Prompt.
Cd Windows [your Vista directory]
attrib -h -s -a -r *.* /s /q [changes the attributes on all the files and
subdirectories. You can't get rid of them without doing this]
erase *.* /s /q [Get rid of Vista files]
cd..
rd Windows /s /q [remove the directories]

Then reboot with an XP CD and go Repair console and do:
FIXBOOT to restore the XP booter.

You are now free of Vista!
