I want to replace Outlook 2003 BCM with ACT! 2008 v10 by Sage on a Sony
laptop running Vista but cannot uninstall SQLAgent$SMLBIZ.
The installation runs right through to the end then "rolls back"
Sage say that this is a Microsoft Problem but I can't find anything on the
Microsoft site.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you solve it

Graham:

Well, I solved it by getting away from ACT but that's another story over an
adult beverage...

You should uninstall SQL Server and anything that starts with SQL in your
Uninstall Programs list. When you reboot, the SQL service should be gone.

HTH,
Lon

Thanks Lon
I must have tried that twenty times but each time when I try to install ACT!
the program says it needs to install SQL and each time at the end of the
attempt the file SQLAgent$SMLBIZ has reappeared.

Try microsoft.public.sqlserver. They'll have more experience and know
