uninstall SP3?

I need to uninstall SP3, then reinstall it. Before I uninstall it, are
there some steps I should take (besides obvious backups, etc...) to
assure that I will be able to reinstall it flawlessly? like after I
uninstall SP3, should I go back to IE6, or should I / can I revert
back to IE6 first? (I read somewhere that IE7 and trying to reinstall
SP3 might be an issue)
 
You cannot uninstall Internet Explorer 7 or Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1
after you install Windows XP Service Pack 3:

You never responded to my post regarding Microsoft Access! The
information in the links may be difficult to work through!
Notwithstanding you should make the effort. I am not convinced you have
an operating system problem requiring removal of SP3!

It wasn't related problems. Through another thread, we've determined
it seems to be JET ov VB related. I tried to update to the latest JET
but you can only get that when you install SP3. I'm going to uninstall
- reinstall SP3 to see if that works.
