Uninstall problem.

When I go to Add or Remove Programs, I try to uninstall "BJ Printer" but the
uninstall shield start up and then vanishes leaving the program still there.
Can anyone help me with this.
Also trying to uninstall Color Flatbedscanner from Device Manager, ( Under
"Imaging Devices") but get message saying " Failed to uninstall the device.
The device may be required to boot up the computer."Any help regarding this
would also be appreciated.
