I started to uninstall my a turbo tax file and received a pop up about
leaving a portion of the file intact. I indicated that I wanted to leave
this on my hard drive and proceeded to uninstall the program. The
uninstallation froze, I abandoned the uninstallation, rebooted and went to
try the uninstallation again. I now receive a message stating the
"uninstaller cannot run while is in use. Please quit before attempting to
uninstall". It appears that the program is sitting open in the location
C:\Recycler\NProtect|Nprotect.log and I am unable to access it. I have tried
going into the recycle bin and searching for this but am unable to locate it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you're having a problem with Norton's Protected
Recycle Bin. I don't use that product, so here's the best info
I can pass along.

Disabling the Norton Protected Recycle Bin

Often times you can resolve uninstallation problems by
reinstalling the program, in this case TurboTax, and running
the uninstall routine again.

Good luck
