Hi,
Is there a way to uninstall or disable the built-in write software
program from XP Home? It gets things (mainly me) mixed up when I back up my
Quicken files.
Does the "Enable" box need to be checked on the device's
properties/recording to be able to record/write/re-write using Roxio?

Thank you,
Galen W. Sievert

Control Panel > Administration Tools > Services > Locate "IMAPI CD-Burining
COM Services."

You can Stop this service or Disabled it from starting when the computer
boots up.

You're welcome Galen.

Remind me to tweak my rules a bit more. <g> There's not so many Galen's on
the planet that it's usually an issue but when it's set to highlight
anything with Galen and other people with the same name answer it gets
pretty confusing for this Galen.

LOL. If you read what you posted, I am sure there are a few mistakes but I
get the picture :-) But then again, I could be wrong.

<g> Makes sense to a Galen? Punctuation and grammar are surely skewed but
this Galen can't figure out how to say all that in any manner that makes
sense. In my whole life I've met three other Galens in real-life. Lately
there's been more of us showing up in the newsgroups that I frequent. I
*think* I have it set now so that it should only trigger the highlight on my
email address and, hopefully, that works well enough until someone spoofs
me.

Who said that?
Honest, mom! I'm not talking to myself again!
