Man am I having trouble.

I had Norton 2003, and foolishly thinking 2004 was better, I got it.
But I also tried the demo of Mcaffee.

When I installed 2004 - the Norton systray icon would not work - I
could never 'Open Norton Antivirus'. I will get an hour glass, then
it will disappear as it was never clicked or right clicked.

So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I do not think that worked,
because when I reinstalled it - it did not ask me for a CD key or
anything like that. So it must have read the key that was suppose to
be reinstalled.

Again - it is doing the right thing.

I did go into the registry and deleted any key that said 'norton'.
Some keys I could not delete.

the NAVAPSCV and NPROTECT are running processes - but I cannot run
live update or do a system scan.

How do I start over without wiping out my drive?

Thanks,
