Hi,

I have just tried to uninstall an old version of Norton Internet Security to
install a newer one.
My problem : during the uninstall, several error messages appeared
mentioning the impossibility of removing items which I had no other solution
than ignore.
Now that I am trying to install the new version, it refuses saying the old
version has not been properly removed. How can I do ?

Thanks for your help.

There is a solution. Depending on which version of Norton you have
there is a removal utility for problematic uninstallations.

For 2003 and before products...

For post 2003 symantec products...

Thanks for your help, I will try.

TO simplify. There are two tools available. One removes certain
versions of Norton product - the other removes other versions of
Norton. Run both if you are unsure.
