Uninstall Media Player?

I downloaded windows mediaplayer but didn't do it correctly and now I see the
visuals but I don't get any sound. I tried to uninstall to redo but the only
things that uninstalled were the alias iicons. How can I get rid of it?

Roll back to before you installed it using System Restore.

Or you could try fixing it ...... ! Re-install or up grade to WMP10, making
sure you're off line, your antivirus is temporarily turned off.
