uninstall gamebar

i have this toolbar thats called "gamebar" on my computer.Idon't know where it came from but i don't like it. When i try to uninstall it from the control panel it directs to a website that says i will no longer see it on my toolbar but it is not taken off my computer. my system:HP Pavilon 533w running wondows xp home edtioni have an ad-aware utility installed and a virus protection program. I have downloaded all the updates from windows. thanks for any help in advance
 
It's adware. you need the free AdAware program to remove
it.
Loads of postings on this forum will give you the site
for download it.

Install, update and then run the free version of "AdAware" from here:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ AdAware works similarly to an
antivirus program but it focuses its efforts on adware, spyware, IE homepage
hijackers and tracking cookies. It will no doubt also remove this bogus
toolbar for you.
