You could have waited for an answer in your other thread ;)

I think the main advantage will be for performance. If the program is pixel
shader heavy more of the units can execute pixel shaders, increasing frame
rates; ditto for vertex shaders. Of course, increased performance could be
traded for increased quality.
 
My other thread got removed for some reason chap..well i can't see it
anymore.
