I have found some files which no amount of searching can identify. Clicking
on "properties" for them doesn't help, either. Can anyone tell me what they
are?

s-1-5-21-839522115-19653331.RRR
IconCache.db (never seen before)
GDIPFONTCACHEv1.DAT (also new)
edde4667e5b811609fb90141

Anti-virus and malware scans accept them, but I still would like to know
what the heck they are. If they are from Windows/Microsoft, OK. But
shouldn't a mere (paying) user be able to know what's on the product they
purchased?

That sounds a little whiney, but not meant to be. I know the parts of my
car, refrigerator, vacuum, etc.; why is it so hard to know the parts of this
tool?

Thanks, Mary

The first and last one may be log files from possibly a Windows Update.
If you open them in Note Pad you may get better information.

Search three of the five files in Google and you'll have your answers.
