I've been tweaking my network a little bit this evening, but happened to notice a device on the network which I can't seem to identify. I'm sure it's just something I've forgotten about, but I'd like to identify it!

There is no useful Netbios name or tracert information which helps me, but it does appear to identify as manufactured by "Hon Hai Precision Ind. Co.,Ltd." (Foxconn) when I run a network scan from my PC.

Any thoughts on other ways to identify items on a network, or ways I can get more information on it?

I'm likely just going to block it, until I realise that something in the house stops working

Cheers Mucks, running an app like that already, which was where it showed up and surprised me.

From looking at that list, I wonder if it's the PS4 - I thought it was powered off as I've not used it for months, but it could be in standby and still showing up. I'll check!

Its not something like a satellite (Sky) box is it? I seem to remember my box had some weird unrelated name...

Is it a device on WiFi I take it?

Yep, I'm pretty sure it connected via WiFi. We've got rid of Sky now, so it can't be that one - but a good guess! I'm going to check the PS4 tonight and see if it's that :).
